02/29/12 | by Trisha Schulz - NDN Court Reporter | Categories: Trisha Schulz

“Seriously . . . I’m Kidding”
by Ellen DeGeneres

Is Ellen running for president? If not, I kind of want to write her in as a candidate after reading “Seriously . . . I’m Kidding.”

The book reads like an Ellen monologue from her daytime talk show. Perhaps the book runs a little bit longer, but you won’t be able to tell the difference when it comes to content and style. When you read it, you feel like she’s sitting across the table and talking directly to you.

Good weather for noodling

02/29/12 | by Diane Becker [mail] | Categories: Diane Becker

It’s the perfect weather for noodling: The air is dry. It’s chicken noodle soup season. Eggs are cheap.

One of my favorite foods in the world is homemade egg noodles topped with melted butter and a shake of salt.

Northeast class visit shows variety of media interests

02/29/12 | by Kent Warneke - NDN Editor | Categories: Kent Warneke - NDN Editor

I recently enjoyed the opportunity to speak to the students in Brian Anderson’s mass media class at Northeast Community College.

While I hope that a few things I said were helpful to the mostly first-year broadcasting and audio recording students, I always benefit from hearing their responses to some of my questions. Nerves, anxiety play part in speech event
